More and more people around the world are now working from home due to the pandemic. This in turn has led to a rapidly growing interest in doing so from a place that contributes to an increased quality of life for the whole family's everyday life and leisure.

Are you used to going to work in the dark and leaving the office in the dark? That on both the way there and in your free time you have to endure rain, sleet and biting cold? Swedish media are currently writing about record pressure on the Spanish real estate market from the Swedish housing clients. This is especially due to the growing trend of teleworking.

Spain, and not least the city of Málaga and the rest of the Costa del Sol, have been quick to seize the opportunity and jump on the new wave of digital nomads coming here. The townhalls are spending more money than ever on marketing to attract international teleworkers. Many new coworking spaces have opened their doors in the last couple of years. It is also interesting that Spanish authorities are working on a completely new law to simplify for the digital nomads. This proposed legislation includes, among other things, a special visa for those who live temporarily in Spain, but work for a company in another country with the help of modern IT technology. The draft was approved by the government in July but has not yet entered into force. We will return with information as soon as it is clear when the law will become a reality and the exact content.
