The demand for Spanish properties from foreign buyers continues to rise. That is shown by official figures for the second quarter of this year. Although total property sales in Spain were a bit lower than the previous quarter, the percentage of sales made to foreign buyers was up against the previous quarter (+1.5%) reaching 14.7% of the total.
This was revealed by newly released figures from Spain’s equivalent of the land registry (Registradores de España).
As a percentage of total property sales in Spain in Q2, the top 10 foreign nationalities were:
Rises were seen in the number of properties purchased by Germans (6.3%), French (+4.1%) and Dutch (5.8%) buyers, and perhaps most notably Italians with an increase of +22% against Q1.
