Every village and town in Spain has its own feria - a celebration that attracts locals and tourists alike and is a really fun way to get to know Spanish culture. The ferias are spread throughout the year and today we share the dates of the ferias in Málaga province that are still to be celebrated this year. Especially in August, which is a month when many people are on holiday on the Costa del Sol!
Visiting a village or town during its feria is both wonderful and a bit special. The smaller a municipality is, the more noticeable the feria is and it can be good and fun to know what is going on. For example, if you are looking for peace and quiet, the feria is not the best time of the year to visit a town.
If, on the other hand, you're looking for a party, intense crowds, atmosphere, music and dancing, it's probably the best thing to do - a memory for life and something that suits all generations, young and old! The feria is a party for everyone, from small children to the elderly. There is usually parties going on in the streets of the center during the day, and in most municipalities there is also a special "feria area" in the outskirts, with both a funfair and so-called "casetas" with food, drinks and performances.
The following ferias take place in the remaining months of the year:
