The survey was conducted by the digital community InterNations, with just over 4 million members, and is described in the newspaper Diario Sur. The result is based on the responses from 12,000 expats, members of InterNations. The study was conducted at the beginning of the year and addresses issues such as quality of life that includes both healthy environments and digital infrastructure, ease of establishment (including language barriers and reception from local people), personal finances (eg access to public health care) and employment (job security, stability in the local economy, etc).
Málaga stands out especially when it comes to the simplicity of landing and establishing in the city and holds the first place in the department of friends and socialization. As many as 69 percent of those surveyed believe that it is easy to build a social context in Málaga. This can be compared with the average of 48 percent. As many as 78 percent are satisfied with their social life in the city. For us who live and work here, it is hardly a surprise!
Málaga also receives high marks in terms of cost of living, finances and housing, and not surprising also in terms of quality of life, climate and leisure activities. In addition, Málaga is categorized as a safe city with good and accessible care.
